alphabet coloring page A with apples Download our free alphabet coloring pages and keep your children busy for hours.

Selecting any preview on this page will start an automatic download of a high quality PDF file that is ready to print on standard letter size paper.

All pages feature original artwork and large upper case letters.

For younger children, use the alphabet pages to introduce letter recognition. Or just let them color them and work on eye-hand coordination while they are "playing".

For older children you may want to introduce the idea of shading colors to distinguish between the separate background items. For instance, on the A-apple page, encourage coloring the apples in assorted reds, yellows and light greens and then shading the apples to show dimension.

For a project idea you might consider having your child color all of the letter pages and place them in a notebook or scrapbook. Insert an additional blank page between each of the ABC coloring pages. Encourage your child to cut out or draw additional items that start with each letter and place these on the blank pages.

For a project idea for older children, have them make a book too, writing a story on each blank page using as many words as possible that start with a specific letter. The more silly, the better!
